Stylewe Colorful Striped Jacket

When I saw this striped colorful jacket from Stylewe, I thought it would be perfect for the spring season.
I just love all of the colors and the bell sleeves. It's such a cute design and cut. Because it has so many different colors in it, I think it makes it even easier to wear with most any other item. I'm wearing the jacket in the size small and the fit is in a boxy style, it kind of reminds me of something from the fifties or sixties, if I'm not mistaken.

The stripes seem to be printed on and I think it would have been even cooler if this had been an actual woven the striped fabric, but that being said it's still very cute the jacket is unlined and the fabric is white on the inside. The weight makes this perfect for milder days like in the Spring and summer. The jacket has to flaps on the front but they are not actually pockets they're just for decorative purposes. I think this jacket it a different version than the one I see listed on the Styelwe website.

I thought the jacket looked great with this red dress, but as I said I think the options of what pairs with it are pretty much limitless.

Shein Striped Double Button Blazer With Pants

Today, I am wearing this striped pantsuit from Shein.  I am wearing a size medium, and the fit is pretty much perfect.  I was a little getting pants that had no stretch in the fabric, but I just close attention to the measurements, and hoped for the best.  

I like the blue and white stripes for a summertime, nautical look, but this set also comes in a gray plaid.  I know to some, blue and white stripes are considered a neutral, and I think I agree.  These pieces can be worn with so many other colors and in so many other ways!

The jacket is unlined, and light weight, making it perfect for summer weather, but it is also a stiffer, more structured fabric.  The fabric is polyester, but feel almost like linen!  

I am 5'2", and the pants are even a little cropped on me.  I like that for the warmer weather, too.

Shein Striped Shorts

Today I am wearing a great summer outfit from Shein.  The striped shorts I am wearing are a size medium, and the fit is perfect.  There is no stretch in the fabric, but they zip up the front and have a tie belt included.  I am always a little nervous about buying pant or shorts online since I am larger in the hip area, so I am so happy these are a great fit!  I love the length of these shorts.  They are not too short, or too long.  They are just right for what I wanted.  I also like the higher waist.  I think these are some of the first high-waist shorts I have owned.   The fabric feels nice and light, and just like linen, even though the description says they are polyester!  That is hard to believe!

The slightly faded look of the color and fabric is pretty, and I think it makes these the perfect summer vacation shorts.

I love the floral appliques on the sleeves on the white blouse I am wearing.  I love that it can be dressed up or down, also.  That makes this a very versatile piece to add to any wardrobe.  The fabric in on the sheerer side, so you need to wear a nude bra underneath.  I am wearing a size small, and I am very happy with the fit.

Striped Pants

I found this brand new, with tags Coldwater Creek top at a thrift store for $1.29!  I love the clay color, and that it is a simple basic I can get a lot of use out of.  I like the whole natural look of this outfit.  The pants were also another thrifted item.  In fact, everything I have on came from a thrift store!

I thought I was going to have a chance to wear my pastel sweaters for the spring season, but it was hot like summer today!  We are already into tank tops and shorts weather here in Virginia!

We are even having thunder storms this evening here, as well.  I can feel the humidity returning, too.  

Belle Poque Striped Steampunk Victorian Skirt

My mother and I adore this skirt from Belle Poque! She and I love the Victorian style!

The blue and white stripes work for all year around, but I can especially see wearing this in the spring and summer.  The blue and white will go with lots of different colors.  I opted for a black blouse for this look, but I can also see it looking great with red, for example.

I am wearing a size small, and the fit is perfect.  The skirt has a zipper on the left side, and elastic on the back of the waist.  The elastic makes for a very comfortable fit.  I wore the skirt with it ruched in the front, but that can be left loose, for a longer skirt in the front.

I am so happy with how this skirt looks, I am thinking of getting one each in the other colors available! 

This Friday is #internationalwomensday. How will you be celebrating?  I am thinking I will spend it with my mother.  A day of fun and shopping!

Black and Red Striped Top

This outfit is pretty plain, but also glamorous at the same time.  

The bracelet I am wearing is one I purchased from a thrift store years ago.  I am thinking it is probably from the 1980's.  It is fun, and unique!  I love things like that!

 

Striped Pants

I bought this pair of striped pants from Roses.  They were $9.99.  I loved the colors of the stripes, and also how soft and stretchy they are!  It's like wearing the softest pajama pants!

The little wool jacket I am wearing is one I bought at Goodwill.  I love the fact the it is such a nice, fine wool that it does not itch like a lot of wool coats and jackets do.

Pink, White and Black Striped Pants

I had so much fun putting this outfit together!

My favorite piece is the hat, because it was on sale fro just $1 at Roses!  I love all the pearls!  The huge necklace is one Vaughan insisted I buy, he thought it was just too much fun.  They are so over-the-top!

The bag is the most expensive item, it was about $20 from Ross.  I was so happy to find it.  I have been wanting something like it all year since I started seeing the pearl bag trend online.

These adorable pants were $12.50 from Family Dollar.  I still can't belive they carry such cool fashion items!

The slides are also frm Roses, and they were about $7.  I had been wanting pearl detail shoes all year, too!  I bought them in several other colors.

Family Dollar Striped Pants

Family Dollar is not the first place I think of when I think of fashion, but since finding these pants there, that may change!

I was so happy to find these, and a pink pair, for just $12.50!  The quality is great, too!  I bought these a month or so ago, so I am not sure they still have them in stock, but you should check out Family Dollar, anyway, and see if they have anything you would be interested in.  

These pants zip up the front, and also have a tie belt, and pockets on each side.   I was thrilled that they did not need hemming to fit me!

The only thing I would change is to make the waist a little higher.  

Red Striped Short Sleeve Blouse

This striped blouse I am wearing is something I bought in the L.A. fashion district.  I only recently wore it for the first time.  I liked the unique way the buttons down the front, and the ruffles. 

The red skirt is something I bought just a few months ago, and I have already worn is a lot of times.  It feels like cotton, but it does not wrinkle very badly, which I love.  This was something I found from Goodwill for just a few dollars, and I think it is probably from the 1970's.

The rose gold bag was new, from Ross.  I love the rose embroidery on the side!

Red Striped Cut Out Nautical Dress

This dress fits true-to-size! I ordered a size small, and the fit could not have been better. This was such a comfortable dress to wear. I just love it, and I think the nautical style is just adorable! The fabric seems to resist wrinkles fairly well. It arrived with a few and I easily steamed them out. The cut out sides made this dress especially cute and interesting. This dress is perfect for summer. It's going to be great for the beach and lakeside!

Blue and White Striped Shirt for Spring

This top is a must for this spring and summer, and it's just $11.99!

If you are like me,  I find it hard to find button-down tops that fit me well, so I was happy to find this one that seems true-to-size, and fit's very well, especially in the waist.  The shoulders could have been a bit higher, but I am still really happy.  I bought mine in a size small.

  I like that tie that came with it, I chose to use mine as a belt to add even more definition to my waist, but I'll probably wear it around the neck for some outfits, too.  The blue and white stripes make this have a somewhat nautical look to it which makes it perfect for a casual day at the beach, but it can just as easily be worn to the office for a conservative look.  I like the large cuffs since they really add to the cut, as well.  I found this top to be very comfortable to wear the whole day.

Black and White Striped Top

I love the asymmetrical hem and the sleeve detail of this Meaneor top.  It makes it so much more unique!  I ordered my top in size medium because I wanted a more relaxed fit for this look.  I am glad I did, it fits just the way I wanted it to.  This top would also look great with white pants or shorts for a cooler day in the summer.  I just love the nautical look!  The fabric is very soft, stretchy and comfortable, too!

I'm in love with this dress! It is so fun, and so comfortable!  I received two compliments in the same store while I was wearing it.  One lady approached me to say I looked so comfortable and happy in this dress.  I just adore the pink tassels, I think they are so flattering against the blue and white stripes!
