Happy National Dance Day!

I decided to share these photos that I had taken in California's Death Valley.  It is such an amazing location to model, especially for belly dance.  I had been dreaming of doing a photo shoot there for a long time, so I am thrilled I had the chance.

The costume I am wearing is one I put together myself.  The skirt is hand sewn by me, and the top and belt were purchased.  I had made many of my own dance costumes. 

 

Red Feather Hat

I just love this hat that I found from Goodwill! It is such a statement!  The red feathers are so lush and beautiful!  And to think I only paid a couple dollars for it!  

The blue dress is another item I purchased from a thrift store several years ago.  I think this is such a fabulous look, and it was all thrifted! 

I am so happy with how my little area in my yard is coming along.  You can see we have started installing our front fence, and I think it's a lot nicer backdrop than the rope we have had up for several years now.  It's nice to see things are finally coming together!

Grace Karin Green Evening Dress

I just adore this green eveing dress from Grace Karin!   I am wearing a size 4, and the fit is perfect.  The dress laces up the back, so that makes it easy to get just the right fit, too.  There is no zipper, so you are going to need help getting into this one!

Unfortunately, I think this dress is now out of stock, but Grace Karin has many more options of evening wear, and everyday dresses, too.

 This dress was only $59.99, and I can tell you, I am very happy with the quality.  The dess also came looking just like the photo online.  Isn't the green such an amazing color?  This is the perfect dress for someone that really likes to make a bold statement!

Cornfield

I am wearing a dress I bought for one dollar at a thrift store in California.  It is vintage, from the 1960's or 70's.  I thought it was the perfect dress to wear for this photoshoot in a cornfield.  The flower crown is one I bought on sale at Walmart for just a dollar, as well.

Red Seamless Dress

I wore this seamless dress for shoot with Court Room Media, and I felt like a million bucks!  The fit is great, and it was super stretchy!  I love how I can wear this dress so many different ways.  In the winter, it's great with an oversized sweater, in the summer, it's beautiful with a sheer kimono.   This is another item that's great for travel.

Gunmetal Mini Dress

I love the dark silver, gunmetal color of this dress.  I have another dress in a very similar color and it was and is still a staple of my wardrobe.  I wore it to lots of events, shoots, and auditions.  There was something very flattering about the color.  Just the right amount of shine and glamour, but also subdued sophistication.

I'm wearing a fun summer outfit for a shoot I did in N.C. with Court Room Media.  I just love how these photos turned out! 

I'm wearing L.A. Colors lipstick in "Tantalize", which I reviewed on my blog, and I think it's goes great with my pink top!  "Tantalize" is my new favorite color for summer!

Black Crop Top

I don't normally wear crop tops, that's usually something I reserve for modeling or when I'm belly dancing, wearing a bikini, etc.  I like crop tops, but I also usually prefer to wear them with high-waisted bottoms.
