Under The Sun Clothing Boutique

I thought this top was unique with it's green and silver stripe combination.  I decided to wear it with a vintage, silver skirt and my favorite warm-weather heels, my silver Bandolinos.

The bag I'm holding contains my new dress from Under The Sun.  Under The Sun is a clothing boutique and tanning salon located in the tiny town of Keysville, Virginia.  I happened to be driving by when I saw a pretty dress on a rack outside the store.  I decided to stop by and take a look.  The dress was only $7.99!  They have lots of other items that are reasonably priced, including pretty, girly clothing and accessories.

Online, Under The Sun is listed as just a tanning salon, but don't be fooled!  They have much more to offer!

I thought these photos turned out so well, I am posting a lot more than usual!  We expect our truck to be repaired around the 21st, so we're feeling a lot better today now that we had a date.  Vaughan bought a new cell phone because his did not work in the area.  The local Dollar General was having a sale yesterday, so I bought a cute, pink maxi dress for just $2.50.  Today, we went back to Dollar General and I bought three more items, all for just $2.50 each.  There are other places to shop in town, but Dollar General is very close by, and one of the cheapest.   It looks like I will be spending my birthday in Kansas.  Not what I had planned, but hopefully it will still be fun!

Here I am at the Antelope Valley's largest gift shop, Charlie Brown Farm's in Littlerock, California   Going to Charlie Brown's has become a bit of a holiday tradition now.  This is always such a fun place to shop.  I decided to wear something a little country, and patriotic since this was the day before Independence Day.  My plaid top is something my husband picked out for me.  I thought it was an interesting mix with my full, old-fashioned skirt by Malco Modes.  The red earrings I am wearing are a gift from my grandmother.

This lovely and very comfortable dress was a fun find at A New Day thrift store in Huntington Beach.  Recently, I spent the weekend there and the weather reports were all saying it was going to be raining and cold.  Instead, it was sunny and mild, and I was stuck at the beach with hot clothing, so I headed out to find a good thrift store to find a few comfortable items to wear. A New Day thrift store came up in my Google search, so there I went.  I found their 99 cent sale rack and found dresses, bottoms, and cute tops to wear.  I ended up spending around $20.00 and had plenty of "new" outfits for the weekend, and more to spare!

The Body Shop

I recently went to The Body Shop for the first time, ever.  As you can see, I came away with a great haul of soap!  My favorite among the scents is the Moringa bar, I just love it!  It's almost like an air freshener for my bathroom!   The size of the bars are also perfect for my hands. 

There are so many wonderful scents, there's bound to be something to suit everyone!  I'm pretty sure I'll be making a trip to The Body Shop again in the future.

 I purchased this blue nightgown from a Roses store in Virginia.  I have Unfortunately, they do not have any Roses store here on the west coast.  This used to be one of my favorite places to shop.  Factory 2 U has taken it's place since moving west.

October 26th, I met Hello Kitty at Dylan's Candy Bar in Los Angeles.

It was so cool to meet her in person, she is so cute!

I wore my Hello Kitty attire, and received compliments on my outfit.

After taking posing with Hello Kitty, I did some candy shopping.

This was my first time visiting a Dylan's Candy Bar, but hopefully it won't be the last!  There were so many sweet treats so choose from!

Pretty In Prints with Sheinside

Today I'm writing about my Sheinside favorites. Sheinside has lots of beautiful clothes in lots of fun prints!

My readers will have noticed I am a huge fan of bright, bold, and interesting prints.  Oh, and the prices are great!

 

1.  I love this different and interesting print! 

2. I really love this dress!  It's perfect for someone like me that likes to make a statement, and the print is amazing!

3. Another print I am a huge fan of:  Tropical flowers and trees!  This is gorgeous, and reminds me of Jennifer Lopez' famous, green Versace dress, which she wore to the 42nd Grammy awards.

4. I love, love this dress!  So bright, so pretty, so colorful!  All things I LOVE!

 

1.  I love the soft pink color of the floral print blouse.

2.  Another beautiful, colorful floral print...  You can just tell this would be super comfortable to wear.

1.  Cherry blossoms!  I am a fan, and I'm even more of a fan of cherry blossoms since I modeled for a fantastic photo shoot among the blossoms this past spring.  This print is so pretty!  And the background color makes the pink pop.

2.  Another pretty, and girly print. I think this would be great for the pin up modeling I have been doing lately!

3. The black background really makes the beautiful pink flowers pop.

4.  I love mixing blue and pink; this is a very pretty floral print.

 1. Too cute!  This is the one item on my list that looks nothing like the others, but it's still a print, and I have always been a fan of The Simpsons!

2. These look comfortable, and I like the "tribal" style print, and muted colors.

3. Soft and pretty tropical print... I like the relaxed fit; these look nice and comfy.

4.  I like the bold black and white print.  Pretty trees! I think this would look great with a bright color, such as red!

Dollar Tree Flip Flops Ballerina Design

Dollar Tree is having a craft contest for their Flip Flop Frenzy summer ad campaign.

Here is my design!  It is made from all Dollar Tree products.Using a hot glue gun, I applied the flower and ribbon to create ballerina flip flops!

Rainforest Cafe

My husband and I had a great time at the Rainforest Cafe in Anaheim, California.  We have been to the ones in San Antonio and Las Vegas, but this was our first time at this southern California location. These are just beautiful places to see!  The ceilings are covered in flowers and leaves, and you feel like you are in a beautiful jungle.  So many fun things to look at, including animatronics, which are always a favorite of mine! 

I can't wait until our next visit!

Vaughan is still in uniform from an event he and I attended that morning for the Fisher House Foundation.  The Fisher House is known for providing housing to the families of veterans that are receiving medical treatment.

 

A beautiful, colorful display in the gift shop.

I have a great view of the aquarium during brunch, and say this fish playing the the bubbles for almost the entire time I was there.  I don't recall ever seeing a fish playing and showing so much personality.  He looked like he was having so much fun!
