PopReal Black Friday Sale!

Today's blog post is about some of the products available at   from Popreal.com, which is currently having an Under $9.99, a Black Friday Sale, and a Flash Sale! (This year, Black Friday is Friday, November 22nd!)

They have a variety of "Kids'" or children's clothing and accessories, including hats, purses, and cheap backpacks. There are so many cute options available, and they would make such great presents for the upcoming holiday season!

My husband and I love predominantly red, plaid bags such as this one:

Plaid Backpack

How fun is the red plaid for the fall and winter season!? My husband also loves Earth tones.  I love all the sparkly, sequin items!

I love the idea of the mom and daughter matching outfits!  They even have matching sets for the entire family!  This is such a fun and cute idea for the holidays, especially when it comes time for family photos!  My husband and I like to try to match our outfits on occasion, and it's always fun when we do.  Vaughan and my father even wear matching shirts sometimes!
This plaid shirt dress is my favorite!

Mom Girl Plaid Self Tie Shirt Dress

They also have baby shoes that have faux gem stones, fur, sequins, and metal studs.  I saw a pair similar to this in a men's wear store the other day, which I would love to buy for my husband!   If I had a little girl, I could totally see getting her a pair of adorable booties, like these pink sequin ones!

Under The Sun Clothing Boutique

I thought this top was unique with it's green and silver stripe combination.  I decided to wear it with a vintage, silver skirt and my favorite warm-weather heels, my silver Bandolinos.

The bag I'm holding contains my new dress from Under The Sun.  Under The Sun is a clothing boutique and tanning salon located in the tiny town of Keysville, Virginia.  I happened to be driving by when I saw a pretty dress on a rack outside the store.  I decided to stop by and take a look.  The dress was only $7.99!  They have lots of other items that are reasonably priced, including pretty, girly clothing and accessories.

Online, Under The Sun is listed as just a tanning salon, but don't be fooled!  They have much more to offer!

Epica Steamer Review

Several years ago, my mother gave me a vintage travel steamer by American Tourister.  I really liked it, but it finally started leaking, and I had broken the handle off years ago, by dropping it on the ground.

I was in the market for a new steamer, and I came across the Epica Fabric Steamer on Amazon.com.  The steamer is larger than my old American Tourister, which was a little disappointing, but I could tell it was going to be larger by the photos online.  Still, it's a decent size to take with you on a trip, or to photo shoots if you're a model, etc.  The steamer is 800 watts, and has a 7 ounce water tank.  The package states it has up to 12 minutes of continuous use, and includes and fabric brush and lint remover attachments, and it's ready to steam in 2 minutes. The power cord is about 10 feet long, which can come in pretty handy!

I have used the steamer on several items, and I an very happy with it.  With my old steamer, the steam kind of wafted upwards; with the Epica, it shoots out about 3 feet!  The more power, the better, so I am pleased. This one is small, and the price was around $20.00, which I think is a pretty good deal.

A steamer is something every fashionista should have.  Nothing ruins a cute outfit faster than a ton of ugly wrinkles.

Soufeel Review

A few weeks ago, I was approached by Soufeel to do a product review in exchange for one of their charm bracelets.  I chose four of their Summer Essential  charms, and their classic bracelet to place them on.  I went with the Waves and Beach Murano Glass Bead because it reminded me of vacation to the Caribbean.  Next, I chose the Sea Star charm, and the CZS Embedded Red Murano, also because they remind me of a tropical vacation.  And last, but not least, I chose the Nostalgic Camera because I thought it was a perfect charm for someone that is photographed almost every day.  The camera is an important part of my life, so why not have a charm to recognize that?  Perfect!  All of these charms are 925 sterling silver.   My bracelet arrived in the mail ten days later, and I was very pleased to see the quality of the jewelry.  The detail on my tiny camera charm is wonderful; it's just so cute!

My package came with the pretty Soufeel bag, and the beautiful Soufeel box with the light blue bow.  The quality of the box  and bag are great, and I will keep both.

You can see in these up-close photos how beautiful and detailed the charms and beads are.

I think Soufeel Jewelry would make a lovely gift for friends or family.  I started wearing my charm bracelet the first day I received it, and I look forward to wearing it on more occasions.  You can use code green5 to receive a 5% percent discount site wide!

Olvera Street Los Angeles

I took a ton of pictures of the beautiful items for sale at the Olvera Street Plaza in Los Angeles.  For someone like me that loves color, this place is a fantastic shopping experience.  There were so many interesting and pretty things to see! On this day, I was there just to photograph, but I intend to go back and make a day of just shopping.  There's so many things I'd like to buy!

Olvera Steet is a California State Historic Landmark.  It is located in Downtown Los Angeles, basically right across the street from Union Station, so if you are taking public transportation, it's very easy to get to.  In fact, that's probably the best way to see the area, since in DTLA, it can be a nightmare to find parking.

If you love Mexican culture, there is something for everyone here.  For shopping, there are beautiful dresses, accessories, candies, and many home decor items.  There are also several Mexican restaurants.  If you are traveling to Los Angeles, this is a place I would suggest you see.  You can eat some great food and pick up a few souvenirs while you're there.

What's your favorite place to shop in L.A.?
