Several years ago, my mother gave me a vintage travel steamer by American Tourister. I really liked it, but it finally started leaking, and I had broken the handle off years ago, by dropping it on the ground.
I was in the market for a new steamer, and I came across the Epica Fabric Steamer on Amazon.com. The steamer is larger than my old American Tourister, which was a little disappointing, but I could tell it was going to be larger by the photos online. Still, it's a decent size to take with you on a trip, or to photo shoots if you're a model, etc. The steamer is 800 watts, and has a 7 ounce water tank. The package states it has up to 12 minutes of continuous use, and includes and fabric brush and lint remover attachments, and it's ready to steam in 2 minutes. The power cord is about 10 feet long, which can come in pretty handy!
I have used the steamer on several items, and I an very happy with it. With my old steamer, the steam kind of wafted upwards; with the Epica, it shoots out about 3 feet! The more power, the better, so I am pleased. This one is small, and the price was around $20.00, which I think is a pretty good deal.
A steamer is something every fashionista should have. Nothing ruins a cute outfit faster than a ton of ugly wrinkles.
See size difference here. My old steamer is about the size of a soda can. |
