Here's one of my new headshots taken by Court Room Media in High Point, North Carolina this month.  This was my second time working with Court Room Media, and once again, it was a pleasure!

Last week, my family and I went on a tour of the Appomattox Court House National Park located in Appomattox, Virginia.  I've been once before, when I was a child.  I remember my favorite part was seeing all of the period items "for sale" in the general store.  It's always interesting to me to see how our ancestors lived.   If you're ever in Virginia, be sure to stop by and see this very important historical site.  To see even more photos I took during my visit, check out https://www.flickr.com/photos/libertadgreen/albums/72157667305093752

 I found this pretty necklace at Roses. I thought it went well with my Moda International sweater.  It was actually a little hot for this after I left home.  My plaid skirt was a gift from my mother.

Beige Knit Dress

 I've had this crocodile embossed bag for several years now and I just love it.  First of all, I'm a crocodile fan, and second, I love the shape.  The color also goes great with my neutral outfits, like this dress by Maurices.  I just recently discovered my turban collection.  They are so fun to wear!  I just purchased four more in white, brown, beige and wine.  I'd like get one in every basic color!

Black And White Plaid Skirt

 I wore this outfit today while shopping for curtains, among other things. I found the perfect curtains for my dressing room...pink and white zebra print!  The only problem was, Roses (the store I was shopping at) had just 3 panels, and I needed six.  We ended up driving to another city to another Roses store, and they also had 3 panels!  But... I had not purchased the others.  So, back we went to first store and they still had theirs by the time we got back.  I spent the rest of the night putting of my new curtains. Yay!

The temps have been in the 80's the past few days here in Virginia.  It felt so warm and wonderful I brought out one of my floral rompers to wear.  I found this cute little wristlet at Dollar Tree.  I love wristlets for carrying into stores while I'm shopping and I don't want to lug around a huge bag.  I'll usually just throw my regular purse in the trunk and just carry this instead.

Purple Faux Fur Jacket

This is one of my more favorite outfits I've worn lately.  My family and I went on a shopping trip to the town of South Hill, Virginia today, and I wore this outfit.  This faux fur jacket is just so cute and comfortable!  The purple is a fun, cool color, and the cut is great, as well.  I love clothing that is soft, and this faux fur is definitely soft!  My leopard print bustier was a gift from my mother.  She loves animal prints just as much or more than I do.  I'm pretty sure I got my love of leopard from her, too.

I'm having a little fun in the countryside.   This dress is so short!  I'm not used to wearing things this short!  It's fun for a change, but I have to be very careful about leaning over, at all.

I'm not as much of a fan of striped as a lot of other things, but I really like this top.  It's just so comfortable, and interesting with the asymmetrical stripes, and the button detailing at the shoulders. The herringbone skirt and a necklace my grandmother gave me complete this neutral OOTD.

Southwestern Long Sleeve Top

 You probably would not have guessed it, but I'm actually wearing a skort.  I think skorts have been given a bad rep, right up there with fanny packs and visors (I'm actually a fan of fanny packs, BTW), but I think they can actually be rather useful.  If you lead an active lifestyle, but still want to look cute and girly while biking, hiking, etc., a skort can be the way to go.  Yay, for the skort!

Grey Plaid Jacket

I bought this grey, plaid jacket this past winter.  It was just so soft and fuzzy, I could not resist!  I think I'll be wearing this one a lot next fall, and perhaps these remaining chilly days this spring.  It's a lightweight jacket, so best for days when just a little extra something is needed to shield me from the cold. 

I wore this outfit to High Point, North Carolina for a photo shoot.  After I was done with my shoot I had the chance to stop by and see the world's largest highboy chest of drawers in Jamestown, North Carolina.  ( I didn't know N.C. had their own Jamestown, too!).  The 80 foot tall chest is located at Furnitureland South, 5635 Riverdale Rd.  If you are like me, this kind of stuff will totally make your day...maybe even your whole week!  Who doesn't want to see a gigantic chest of drawers?!

Black Crushed Velvet Dress

 I think vests are underrated articles of clothing.  It's pretty cool how you can throw on a vest and completely change the look of an outfit.  Vests are almost like accessories, like a scarf, or a belt.  This vest, with it's bead and sequin details made me feel it wasn't even necessary to wear any jewelry, I had just the right amount of shine for this casual but chic outfit.

L.A. Colors Matte Lipstick in "Tantalize" Review

Color:   L.A. Colors Matte in "Tantalize".  I adore this lipstick!  My first time wearing it out shopping, I was stopped by a cashier and asked what lipstick I was wearing.  I felt great, confident, and pretty wearing this gorgeous shade of pink!  I think I will be wearing this all summer long!  I also think this may be my most favorite shade of pink lipstick, ever!

Flavor: No special flavor.

Scent: No special scent.

Texture: For a matte lipstick, I think the texture is very comfortable.

Durability:  The color lats very well, without the need to reapply often.

Packaging:  I really like the packaging.  It feel strong and sturdy, and it's also very pretty!

Price:  I paid just $1.50 at Dollar General.
