Lilac Beret

So, lilac is the color of the year, and I have theluck of finding this Liz Claiborne lilac beret at a Goodwill!  I was so happy to find it!  I was also so happy with how well this outfit turned out.  I felt so girly in it, and I think it's adorable.  It is such a great outfit for spring!

My pink wool jacket is by J Crew, and fits me perfectly.  I love it when the sleeves are not too long for me!

The same day I wore the outfit, I went shopping at the Dollar Tree and picked up white and lilac pom pom keychains to go with my hat and sweater.

I hope everyone is having lovely Sunday.  I decided to take it fairly easy today because tomorrow I have another visit to the dentist.  I will be that much closer to getting my implant, so I am excited!

Grey and Pink Plaid Pants

After doing a lot of housework yesterday, Vaughan and I decided to pretty much take today off.  I finally saw the new Mummy movie that came out last year.  I remember hearing the reviews that it was not great, but I think it was actually pretty good, afterall.  It's so nice having a Redbox nearby for the times we feel like renting a movie!

I had been wanting to try the grey plaid trend, so I was really happy to find these grey slacks with pink in them from Mossimo.   It went great with my pink sweater, and jacket.  All these pieces were bought at different times, but I think they go well together.  

I am also wearing my rose gold monogram necklace by Soufeel.   I actually like the smaller size for a change, sometimes something dainty is nice.

Easter Outfit

Okay, so it was not very long ago, but I decided to post these photos of my Easter outfit for Flashback Friday.  

I just had to share the one of my Easter bunny ring that my mother gave me.  I feel like a child, but I don't care!  It's too cute!

Peachy Dress

I think spring is such a fun time for fashion, especially if you are into hats, and girly dresses. Today I am sharing some peachy, soft, and pretty dresses like I am wearing here.

This is an older dress that I bought in the L.A. fashion district, but the necklace I am wearing was found at a thrift store and matches it so well!  Don't you love when that happens?

 The shoes were also found at a thrift store a different time, and the hat came from Roses, which is one of my favorite stores here in the south.

Blue Print Tank Top

I just love how crisp white leggings can look.  The problem is keeping them that way, though!

Does anyone else love wearing white, but have a hard time not getting it dirty in the first five minutes?  Something as simple as leaning over my trunk putting packages away, and new thing I know I have dirt across both legs, lol!  

I think I will be risking it and adding more white to my wardrobe this year!

FashionMia Spring Dresses

Today's post is about FashionMia.  FashionMia has so many cute dresses, skirt, tops, and more!

I'm going share a couple of their cute skater dresses.

The first one is a plain, simple, classic red dress:  I can see dressing this up, or down very easily.  It is also such a comfortable item, making it perfect for hot, sticky summer days like we have here in Virginia.

The second one is this pretty floral dress that is in the color of the season, lilac! This is such a pretty, feminine look for spring and summer.  I love how light, breezy and comfortable this dress looks.  I can see wearing this to church, lunch, shopping, etc.  It would be suitable for so many occasions.

Next up, I am sharing a couple of my favorite shift dresses.


The first shift dress I want to talk about is this white dress with black polka dots.  I recently bought Vaughan a white necktie with black polka dots, so it would look so adorable for us to match with me wearing this dress!  I really like polka dots, and he black and white version is just so classic!  This one also looks to breezy for warmer days.

The last dress I've chosen to discuss is this red, white and black plaid dress, because Vaughan loves plaid so much!  I also love how super-sized the plaid is!  The black, white and red plaid is another of my favorite plaid styles.  And throwing on a simple, knit dress like this one make getting dressed so easy!  That's one thing I love about dresses.  All you have to do is decide on accessories, and you are good to go!

Pink Trench Coat

I really love the spring pastel colors in this outfit!  I am sharing a few simular pieces at the end of this post.

Yesterday, the removal of some dangerous trees in our yard was started.  Today, the professionals returned and finished the job.  We opted to remove the debris ourselves, so we have a lot of work ahead of us!  Our yard is a disaster zone now, but I am so happy to have it done!  Now each time the wind picks up, we will not have to worry as much about a tree or limbs falling!

SheIn Pink Sweater with Pearls

Today I am sharing this adorable pearl decorated sweater from sheIn.  It's the perfect piece for the cooler spring days like we are having here in Virginia.  I love the pearl accents that are all over the front, and the layered sleeves.   The fabric is soft, resists wrinkles, and it is light, but not too lightweight.

Unfortunately, this sweater comes in only one size, which seems to be a small, or smaller medium at most.  You can see my measurements here.   The price is great, this color is just $19.00!  It also comes in four other colors, which make the price differ a few dollars.

I can see wearing this the rest of the spring with so many different things in my wardrobe!  It would look great with white leggings as well.  And it would be extra girly and pretty with a nice skirt.

Pink Cold Shoulder Dress

We are currently having some scary weather here in Virginia.  Unfortunately, a tornado has already been confirmed in some areas, and there are watches for many other counties, including ours.   Here's to hoping everyone stays safe, and that there's no damage!

Red and Black Print Dress

Vaughan and I spent much of the day outside since it was over 80 degrees today.  I love being outside!  I sure missed it all winter along.  I am hoping the mosquitoes stay away this year!

Abstract Print Colorful Sweater

I think this might be the most fun outfit I ever wore, or put together.  All of these items came from Goodwill!  Yet another example of why I love shopping vintage at thrift stores so much!

It's amzing to me that all the items were bought at different times, and yet they all go so well together!
