SHEIN Purple Plaid Shirt Jacket

Things are going to be a lot colder this we here in Virginia, so it's definitely time to bring out everything that's warm and snuggly!

This purple plaid shirt / jacket is like the green one that I reviewed last month.  I got this one in the same size large as well because I still wanted the oversized look. 

Just like the green version, this one has a very sturdy, thick feeling fabric that is soft and comfortable. 

Being oversized makes it great for layering. 

This plaid shirt jacket also comes in several other plaids, not just the purple and green versions. 

This really does feel like great quality, and I think it's definitely worth the price. This time for this look I decided to dress it up a bit with a purple suede skirt, neutral sweater and some heels. 

There is definitely more than one way to style these cute shirts. 

The front chest pockets actually button closed and work. The shirt has buttons at the cuffs, as well.

SHEIN Faux Suede Mini Skirt

When I first took this little faux suede skirt of the package, I was nervous that it was going to be way too small for me, but luckily it fits me perfectly fine. 

I went with a size small and the shade apricot, but this also comes in black, camel and rust brown. 

The skirt snaps down the front and the fabric does have some stretch.  It is a faux suede material and it also comes in sizes small to extra large. 

I would not mind having the skirt and all the available color is because I think it could be a really great basic. 

There are so many things in my wardrobe that this could go at and it only $11, the  price is great. 

For this look I decided to parrot with a printed blouse with some of the same tones in it.

Suede Cape and Skirt Set

I was so happy to find this Chico's fringe cape and skirt set for just $10 at a thrift store!  First of all, I have always liked fringe.  The color is also wonderful for fall, especially.  I just wore it on a coolr spring day, though, and it was great.

The great thing about this set is that it can be worn separately, too, so I can create even more outfits!

The bench I am sittin on it a recent purchase from Lowe's.  I thought a concrete bench would be the perfect addition to this tree in our yard.

 

Brown Suede Skirt

I saw some of the thickest snow I have ever seen today!  There is over a foot of snow in our yard!  I guess we will be stuck at home for a few days, but that is alright with me.  I am looking forward to getting a few more things done around the house, like decorating I have still not finished for Christmas!

This outfit is from a warmer day.  I am wearing my new cap that I bought from Roses this year.  The suede skirt is one I have had for year, and the top is one I just got lately from Goodwill.  I think it all went well together, though.   

Rust Suede Jacket

I just love this rust color, suede jacket.  I bought it at Goodwill after my mother found it for me, and I believe it had never even been worn before, because it looked brand new.  I think it is such a perfect color and material for fall.  It went great with my silk scarf, which was new, with tags and only one dollar at Goodwill, as well.

I am wearing my old favorites, as well:  my black cap, and my orange crocodile bag which we both purchased at Roses.

Green Paisley Top

I am not sure where I purchased this paisley top, but I am sure it was from a thrift store.

The brown, suede skirt was also thrifted.  I love how it's right back on trend, again.  It can be worn with lots of different top, from tucked blouses, to over-sized sweaters.  I am even wearing it this day, in summer weather.

Since it's brown, I think it's especially great for fall.

Beige Suede Coat

Would you believe I found this real suede coat for just under $3.00?!

 Finds like that are why I love shopping at thrift stores.  This coat looks like brand new, and it is so warm. It has a faux shearling lining.

The boots are also thrifted, and my striped sweater dress was about $3.00 from Roses.

Brown Fur Vest

        I love how soft this faux fur vest is.  I found this, along with my top and boots at Goodwill.  The necklace was just $1.00 at a different thrift store.  The suede skirt is something I have had in my wardrobe for years.

Happy weekend!  

Vaughan and I have been busy packing this week for our trip to South Carolina to celebrate our "meeting" anniversary.  We celebrate our first even more than our wedding anniversary!  

I an still not done packing because I plan on taking lots of fun photos in lots of fun outfits while we are in SC.

I am so happy with how well the shorts fit!  I ordered a size medium, and the fit is perfect!  Since gaining a few inches in my hips, buying shorts or pants that fit me has been hard, especially when ordering online.  I just paid close attention to the measurements provided, and voila! 

 The faux suede makes this okay for pretty much every season.  They're also going to be great for this fall!  I can see them paired with a cute sweater or jacket, too!

The lace up front makes these even more unique.  They also have front and back, full size pockets!

This pale pink silky top is perfect to wear with so many different things.  I ordered my top in size medium.  The fit is pretty good, though I think I could have worn a size small, too.  My favorite part of this top are the tiny ruffles along the neckline...they are so cute, and add an extra feminine touch to the blouse

Winter-White Sweater

 I wore this super comfortable outfit for a family shopping trip to Raleigh, North Carolina.  I had not been to Raleigh in years, so it was fun to be back!  I used to go there for fencing classes every Tuesday.

I just love the sweater I'm wearing, it's one of those that's so soft I just keep touching it!  I like the diamond-look decoration at the neck.  It's beautiful, and I don't even have to pick out a pretty necklace to wear, so there's another step in getting dressed that's saved!  My leggings are very stretchy, so they are great and comfortable for a long ride like it was for the trip to Raleigh.

Another piece to my outfit that I love are these gorgeous boots!  They are suede, with fringe running down the sides.  They were also comfortable for all the walking we did, and that included a long walk around the Crabtree Valley mall.  Before our trip to the mall, though, we stopped by the beautiful state capitol building and took these photos.
