This is my second of two posts about Homecoming Dresses 2017, which is a full week closer than when I posted my first post about this topic.
How many of you knew that Homecoming coincides with Oktoberfest? Oktoberfest is a German tradition commemorating the wedding of King Ludwig I, who was still merely the Crown Prince at the time, and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen on the 12th of October, in 1810. They welcomed their subjects to be, to celebrate their wedding on the fields in front of the city gates of Munich. The citizens gathered there to celebrate the next two years, but cancelled their plans in 1813, because they were at war with Napoleon. The citizens of Munich renewed the tradition by 1818, but eventually moved the start date to the third week of September, to take advantage of the longer, warmer days. Now-a-days, Oktoberfest ends the first Sunday in October.
Homecoming events usually take place within one or two months after school reconvenes each fall, which is usually late September or in the first half of October.
NewArrivalDress has a wide variety of dresses to meet your Homecoming needs, as well as a many other activities, such as formal parties or just going out to a night club.
For this post, I have selected more of my favorite not necessarily black cocktail dresses (besides the ones I featured in my previous post, a week ago).
This first dress is something I can imagine myself wearing while playing the role of Cinderella or Alice in Wonderland.
The second dress I've selected is the kind of simple, unadorned, bilaterally symetrical dress in one, solid color, which my husband prefers. Its skirt is short, and, therefore, ideal for dancing.
I have already worn this third outfit. I love studs and sequins, and things that sparkle in my clothes, so this is definitely one of my favorite outfits. Something else I like about this one is that it comes in two parts - the top and the skirt, so I can mix and match the parts with other tops and bottoms!
Also a sparkly number, this fourth dress is simple and comfortable, with a high hem to accommodate dancing. With spaghetti strings to hold it on, it is perfect for hot, sultry nights in southern Virginia, where I live! I like the sparkling pink color, too!
By the way, I also adore the golden frame around the mirror behind the mannequin in the picture. Did I mention that my favorite color is gold?
Last but not least, this fifth dress is just the sort of dress I would like to wear when my husband and I renew our wedding vows. Perhaps we'll make it an annual celebration, like King Ludwig I's wedding. I wonder if Therese's was this white and lacy!

Homcecoming Dresses 2017
This post is about Homecoming Dresses 2017. Homecoming is only about a month away (usually late September or early October, at most schools which observe this tradition). NewArrivalDress has you covered, even if you're not going to a Homecoming Dance.
Perhaps you're no longer in school, but have other formal events you're required to attend. Or maybe you just want to recreate the magic of your favorite Homecoming experience, or else have a "do over" to make up for one you really hated. Perhaps, like me, you never went to a Homecoming Dance, nor to any school, but, like me, you just enjoy dressing up!
No problem! Like I said, NewArrivalDress has got you covered!
Here are five of my favorites:
A couple of my favorite dresses are their black cocktail dresses.
This first one reminds me of Natasha of "Boris and Natasha" fame. (Yes, I'm a fan of Rocky and Bullwinkle!) It's simple; it's classic; it's solid black. It's bilaterally symetrical, which is just the sort of dress my husband adores! This dress reminds him of Morticia, of the Addams Family. (Yes, he's a big fan of The Addams Family!)
The other black dress has lace accents. My husband is less fond of lace than I am, but he agrees that this dress would be ideal to wear to a Halloween party. It's also more ideal for dancing, since the skirt is short.
This third dress is another which is ideal for dancing. Its top is simple, but it has a ruffle in the skirt, and white appliques to add interest. Ideal for those of you who like the Retro look!
The fourth dress I have chosen has lots of golden appliques, and a gold ribbon tied in a big bow knot for a belt. How many of you knew my favorite color is gold?
The fifth dress, I have selected not because of what I like, but because of what my fans seem to like. First of all, they seem to like to see me in blue. Some have told me it's my best color. And when I go out in a sheer dress with embroidery or appliques such as this one, I tend to get a lot of compliments! This is another dress with a short skirt, which would be great for dancing. Personally, I like the way the hem of the skirt is formed by the intricate blue, floral pattern which covers this dress from the neck to the wrists!
Which of these dresses is your favorite?

I think the beading is really what makes this fourth dress so special. There's just so much of it! And the plunging v neckline is also a stunner. This dress also comes in other colors, but the white would be amazing for showcasing gorgeous accessories.

I think this fifth dress is my favorite! It's just so unique, and the color combination is so refreshing and beautiful. It is also shorter than a lot of the other choices, which is great if you want to show off those legs! This is my top choice, and also the cheapest of all my picks! Yay! I think this dress is my favorite of the three, it's just so girly and perfect! Also, it's kind of retro, I could see a girl wearing this in the 50's, just maybe a tad longer back then.
Of the three, I could see wearing this dress again for a different occasion after homecoming. This organza dress is timeless and elegant.
