Femme Luxe Spring Dresses

For today's post, I have four super glamorous dresses - all from the Femme Luxe* website. Spring is here, and these dresses are going to be perfect for spring and summer vacations, nights out, and more.  I am particularly loving today's haul of gorgeous dresses; they are all super flattering and versatile.  In the winter, I usually wear a lot of leggings and sweaters, so I am so happy that it is now dress up season again, here, in Virginia.

 

There is a lot of green in today's post, but that is just a coincidence. It is just a coincidence, but green is actually a really fabulous and conversational color. It is great for fall (and maybe even winter), but it can also be perfect for spring and summer, if you add some beautiful pinks, reds, yellows, and bright, sunny, summer floral colors.  I have always especially loved the color combination of pink and green; I think they go fabulously together.

First of all, we have this "army green," or "olive drab green," rouched dress. It is such a beautiful color! And it sure is unique - especially for this style of dress. It is in my favorite, original style, which I think is very flattering. This style also makes it great for packing, since it does not seem to show wrinkles nearly as badly as some fabrics. The solid color makes this fabulous for wearing lots of different accessories with it, and dressing it up or down. This dress is in a Size UK6. It fits great on me, except that it is a little bit too loose in the bust, but that is fine. It kind of drapes like a cowl neck on me, but if you have a larger bust it would fit you more like a straight across neck line.  The straps on this dress are not adjustable, but they are stretchy, so I think that helps in fitting most sizes.

Next up, we have this interesting, white dress that is definitely great for a summer vacation. It was nice to find the short version of the white midi dress from Femme luxe that is similar to this. This one is in a Size 6. It is snug, but I think that is the way it's supposed to be, and it still fits me very well, because it is strapless. It is nice, because does not fall down when I am wearing it. This dress does not have any zippers; you can just pull it on over your head, or step into it, because the fabric is super stretchy and comfortable.  I think this dress would be cute to wear with sneakers, flip-flops, or heels - for dinner out or clubbing.  The great thing about this dress is that it does not appear to be see-through, but I would always, of course, wear with nude underwear, just in case.

This darker, green dress has a beautiful surprise in the back; it has two layers of gold chain . I think this would also be a lovely date night dress because of that. This one is also in a Size UK6. The fit is fabulous; the fabric is super stretchy and comfortable. This is another dress you can either just pull over your head or step into.  This is another dress that does not have adjustable straps, but it is also so stretchy making it able to fit most people anywhere near this size.  I was really happy to see that the chain hangs perfectly across the back, and not too loose or tight on me, which is sometimes the case with designs like this.  This is a great take on the little black dress!

Last and certainly not least, we have this dress in a lighter shade of green, that has ruching on all sides, and even in the bra cups. This does have adjustable straps, and also a zipper up the back. The fabric is more like a soft knit, and I really adore this dress, because I think it is so gorgeous and flattering, and not quite like anything else I already had in my wardrobe! This one is also in a Size UK6, and the fit is fabulous. I especially love how it does not create a gap at the bust on me. My bra size is 32B, so, if you do not have a larger bra cup size, this dress might not be a great option for you, but for those of us with smaller bra cup sizes - girls, this dress is especially great.  I love this dress so much! And I would like to see it in several other colors for my wardrobe.
