Fringe Top

I love the extra long fringe on this top that I thrifted a few years back.  I decided to pair it with a black skirt, also thrifted.  You can see a similar top, here.  I think the colors are perfect for warmer fall days like we are having here in Virginia right now!

SHEIN Pink Velvet Jacket

I love wearing velvet in the fall and winter time so I was really happy when I found this beautiful dusty pink velvet jacket from SHEIN. 

I'm wearing a size small and the fit is pretty much perfect the sleeves are just a Tad too long for me but that's not really a big deal because I can fairly easily hem them a little shorter. The jacket does have actual pockets but I left mine stitched together for the time being. The jacket comes with a matching belt that is not attached but it does have to belt loops on the sides. I think wearing a velvet jacket like this is a very pretty alternative to a cardigan in cooler weather.

I've still have not had a lot of opportunities to wear my cold weather clothing because to day as it has been for weeks is still hot just like summertime. That's probably going to change soon though and I'll be able to wear all of my beautiful new clothing that I've gotten for cold weather season.

SHEIN Blue Toile Jacket

I have been wanting something in the very popular toile print all year long so I was so glad when I had the opportunity to review this beautiful toile jacket from SHEIN. I love the blue and white print in particular even though toile does come and basically every other color imaginable. 

The jacket I'm wearing is in a size small and the fit is perfect for me I'm so happy about that.

The jacket does not have any button closure or any other type of closure. The jacket has working pockets and full lining so it's very comfortable to wear.

I am looking forward to wearing this a lot next spring but I'm hoping I can even wear it a few times this fall.  Hopefully there are ways to incorporate this into fall style even though it is of a lighter color. I'm very happy with the quality of this jacket so hopefully it's going to last for years to come. The fabric seems like it does not tend to wrinkle which I love. As you know if you follow my blog that something I always mention and look forward and clothing.

For my look in this post I decided to keep it simple and pair this jacket with white, Though I do think you could look great with lots of other colors.

Shein Black and White Sweater

For today's post I'm doing this black and white sweater with gold buttons from Shein. This sweater comes in one size which happens to fit me very well. I think it actually fits more like a medium so it ends up being more of an over-sized sweater on me but that's fine and works out well if you want to add layers underneath in colder weather. I think if you are anything from an extra small to a medium this water would probably work well for you.

I love that this sweater has working pockets and the beautiful gold buttons that are actually metal as far as I can tell. The fabric of the sweater itself feels very thick soft and warm and light great quality. I think this sweater is a very good purchase and hopefully will last for years to come.

Luckily, I had a cool enough day to wear my new sweater here in Virginia. Most of the days lately it still feels like the middle of summer. How's the weather where you are?  Have you actually had the opportunity to start wearing your fall clothing?

BM Bridal Gowns

For today's post I'm going to reviewing stormy bridesmaid dresses from BW Bridal. "Stormy" is a very beautiful, dark shade of gray. They have lots of other beautiful colors, too, though, in case that is not your perfect pick.

Next up is this stunning wedding gown. This is definitely one of the styles of wedding gowns that I am a big fan of; it's such a classic look! Lace will forever be my 1st option for wedding gowns.

The lace bodice on this one is particularly gorgeous. As with most of the dresses that I have seen on BW Bridal this one comes in sizes 2 to 26. 

I think this one is my favorite of all the gowns that I have seen on BW bridal. If I was planning my wedding at this time, this is probably the one I would go for.  I think it is a very flattering style. I like styles that leave the arms and neckline on display.  You can also easily add a gorgeous necklace with a V-neckline such as this one.

Here is another one of the gorgeous BM dresses with lace and lace appliques that is also at a fabulous price point. This is so pretty for the classic strapless style. This is actually more similar to the wedding gown that I went with for my wedding.

Shein Blue Sweater Set

This blue sweater and skirt set from Shein comes in only one size. When I first opened the package from Shein, I was a little worried the sweater would be too small for me, but I was happy to find out it actually fits be perfectly. If you are much larger than me, this set may not be a good fit.

I believe this is now my third sweater set from Shein, and I am happy with them all. Some things come and go from my wardrobe, but these sets are a few a intend on keeping for a long time.

I love the pastel shade of blue of the set. It would be especially perfect for springtime! I am also looking forward to wearing each piece with different items I already have in my closet.

Shein Faux Suede Fringe Jacket

I am wearing this outfit standing outside the Rainforest Cafe in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

 As you may know, I love fringe, so I was excited when I saw this pink, faux suede jacket from Shein.  The jacket has no lining, so it's perfect to wear with sleeveless items in milder weather.  The weather in Atlantic City was mild, so I took the opportunity to wear this jacket there when walking the boardwalk, and in Caesar's Palace.

I am wearing a size small, and the fit is very good.  The sleeves could be just about an inch shorter, but that is the only thing I would change.

The jacket has no closure, or pockets. The fringe is down the front of both sides of the jacket, and there is criss-cross lacing down the sleeves.

Shein Black Sweater Skirt Set

Happy Thursday!  It was feeling a lot more like fall today here in southern Virginia.  It was a little too cool for comfort today!  I was happy I was able to wear my new sweater and sweater skirt set from Shein.

I know I am going to be getting so much use out of this sweater set!  I love it because I know I will be wearing these together, as well as separate, with other items all fall and winter long.

I am wearing a size medium, and the first is very good.  The skirt is a slim fit, and the top is more boxy, and over-sized.  I would prefer to have the sweater a little more fitted, but I am still pleased with the fit.

The skirt has a drawstring, and also a wide elastic waistband.   I am glad that the band was not too tight and uncomfortable.    The fabric is nice and soft!  I wore it all day today, right out of the box.

It's a conservative cut, so it's something that I believe would be flattering on almost anyone, and acceptable for most locations. This (like every other dress that I looked at) comes in Sizes 2 to 26.

This is another sequin gown but with a more revealing cut. I personally love the style. Amoretu Floral Top

I am enjoying wearing summer clothes for this last week of summer!  It is still in the 80's and 90's, so no sweater-weather just yet!

For tonight's post, I am wearing this floral top from Amoretu.  It is a very comfortable, loose top.  The fabric is 88% Polyester, 12% Elastane, but it feels like cotton.  The bell/ruffle sleeves make this top a little more girly and pretty than an average tee-shirt.  You can have all the comfort of a basic tee, but much cuter!

 I am wearing a small, which is the smallest size they have and I find the top to be a nice, relaxed fit.  It would are a larger size and like your tops more fitted, you may be able to size down for a desired fit.  The top has buttons down the front and a tie at the waist.  The buttons all actually work!

This top also comes in black, rose, and a pretty shade of blue.  It also comes in sizes small to 2XL.

Dresswel Floral Midi Dress

I love the print of this floral midi dress from Dresswel.  It reminds me of birds of paradise!  I am wearing a size small, and the fit is pretty much perfect.  The shoulder straps are adjustable, and the dress buttons  down the front.  There is also elastic at the back for ensure the perfect fit.  I wore this dress today when it was very hot and humid, and I found it to be very light and comfortable.

  I was happy to discover that the fabric was not see-through, as is often the case with lighter color fabrics.

Everyone In L.A. Is An A**hole Book Review

When I saw the title of this book, I knew I just had to read it!  As someone that lived and worked in L.A. for years, I thought the title alone was too funny!

The book is about an author that is getting back into the dating scene after getting a divorce from her husband.  All of the trials and adventures of dating in Los Angeles are highlighted.

I'm thankful that I was already married when I moved to Los Angeles, so I didn't have to deal with the whole dating scene as a single person. 

So many topics related to dating in the social media age are covered!  Like selfies, the amount of followers one has, and bios!

As you should probably be able to tell from the title, this book is not for those that are easily offended. Vegans, redheads, and hippies beware, just to name a few!

This book will be an especially fun read for those that have actually lived in Southern California, but it should also interest those that are just getting back into the dating scene after a divorce, and those that are interested to see if all those stereotypes about people in L.A. are true.

Noracora Purple/Grey Lace Dress

Hello everyone hope your all enjoy your weekend.  I'm glad the weather is still warm enough for me to wear things like this new dress (Product ID: DR6DD965) from Noracora. Here in Virginia things really don't start to cool off until a few days after my birthday which is September 20th.

I thought the style of this dress was very interesting and different.  I love the different shades of Gray that are in it. I'm wearing a size small and the dress is actually little loose on me. There is a zip-up the side under at the arm but I don't even really need to use that in order to get the dress on.  I don't think there were any smaller options or I would suggest sizing down.

The straps are adjustable. The dress also comes with a matching belt that snaps together.

Something about the style of this dress reminds me of the 1930's.  I love the vintage look, and the shades of gray/purple lace.

I, like my mother, have always had a love of fringe.  I don't usually wear denim jackets, but I make exceptions for ones I consider cool and unique, like this fringe jacket from Lovelywholesale.  I am wearing a size large, and the fit is very good.  I could have used just another inch or so in the waist for an even better fit.  I will probably leave the jacket open when I am wearing it, anyway.
