Xiaolizi Red Wool Midi Coat with Hood

I think the best feature of this coat for me is the hood.  It actually fits me!  So often, I find that hoods are too small or short to fit me comfortably, so I am thrilled that is not the case with this navy blue wool blend coat from Xiaolizi. The coat also comes with seam pockets.

The coat is made slightly longer in the back, which I find to be a nice feature.  It is a classic style, which I can see wearing for many years to come.  A coat like this is appropriate to wear for most any occasion.  It also comes in green and red, if you are looking for a less traditional color.  The fabric is nice, thick, and does not feel itchy on my skin.  It will really work to keep you warm in the cold months, and its it not made from the thin, felt-like fabric that some coats I have bought online have been made from.

Xiaolizi has lots of other gorgeous coat, so be sure to check out their site!  And, just for my readers, there is an exclusive coupon code GREEN20, with which you can get 20% off your order!

Black and White Striped Tank Top

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!  I have had a pretty lazy day.  I did not feel like doing much, but I did want to make sure I shared another post for tonight.

I am wearing a top I bought from Fallas, and a skirt from Goodwill.  The shoes were from
Walmart and I bought them while passing through Kansas on the way back to California.  They are comfortable, and that's the most important part!

Tall Men Shoes by Chamaripa

Today's blog is about tall men shoes, or shoes to make men taller, by Chamaripa Shoes.  These men's shoes with lifts, and are known as "elvator shoes." Chamaripa also carries shoes for women.

Many people are fixated on height, as well as age, especially in the entertainment industry.  As a professional actress, I have often been discriminated against because my height, which is 5 feet, 2 inches, which is, by the way, the average height of a woman in the world.  The average height of a man in the United states of America is 5 feet, 9 inches, which is how tall my husband is, so my husband and I are the average heights for our genders, yet we have both been treated with prejudice because of our height.

It doesn't bother my husband enough to buy shoes with lifts, or to anything else about his height, but some people go so far as to get operations, which only increase their height an inch or two, although some surgeons claim they can increase someone's height five inches.  This is extremely risky; some such patients never walk again.  It is also expensive, costing tens of thousands of dollars.  This surgery is most common among men, perhaps because it is more socially acceptable for a woman to be short, or petite.

For men who are interested in increasing their height, but who are unwilling to risk this cosmetic surgery, elevator shoes and lifts are available.  Chamaripa Shoes offers men's shoes with lifts, also known as elevator shoes, and they are currently having a sale, of fifteen U.S. Dollars off each pair of shoes.  Like operations, their elevator shoes can increase a man's height by two to five inches.

By the way, their website is in many languages, and they sell shoes around the world, in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Unlike heels, which I often wear to increase my height, as well as to just look sexy or dressier, elevator shoes have lifts inside them, hidden from view, so it's not as obvious that those wearing them are increasing their height artificially.

For me, the best thing about Chamaripa shoes is that they come in a wide variety of styles, for
all occasions and tastes.  My husband prefers slip-on shoes; Chamaripa has slip-on dress shoes.

My husband sometimes likes to wear work boots, for digging in the yard; Chamaripa has them, too!  When he was younger, my husband used to like to play sports, such as basketball, baseball, and football, in sneakers; Chamaripa offers sneakers, as well!

They also come in various colors, such as black, white, red, yellow, and brown, and different textures, such as patent and suede leather, and matte leather for old-fashioned men, such as my husband, who likes to shine his own shoes.

So, if you are looking to update you fall wardrobe, check out Chamaripa for nice shoe options for both men, and women.  They have some very cute sneakers I would love to try!

Another feature of their website is the ability to search shoes by the light height!  How cool is that?  It makes the shopping experience that much easier to have that added option!

Fall 2018 Coat and outfit Ideas

For today's post, I am sharing fall and winter coat ideas from Xiaolizi.  Xiaolizi has lots of items perfect for a new fall and winter wardrobe.  The items below are just a small sample of the many dresses, coats, and skirts!  If you like classic, quality pieces, you should definitely check them out!

I actually have this first one, and I will be doing a full review of it in another post, so stay tuned! This coat also comes in blue and green!  The hood is such a cool feature!

I love the simplicity of this next coat.  It is such a classic!  The gray is such a beautiful shade!  I could see having fun adding different belts to this coat to create all kinds of new looks.  It's fabulous on it's own, or a blank canvas for other scarves and accessories.

Xiaolizi has more than just coats. This high-waist skirt comes in brown and gray.  This would keep you warm and stylish all winter long!  I like the v-shape front.  I think it adds interest, and also has a slimming effect.

I love how full this skirt is! The light gray is pretty, but it also comes in black and red!  How pretty would red be for the holiday season?!  With basic black and gray, it would go with so many things in your wardrobe, though!

This shorter, similar skirt would also be another great choice, especially if you prefer your skirts on the shorter side.  Just like the last one, it comes in black and red, as well.
I like the fact that this one has belt loops.  I love wearing belts, so this is a nice feature.  Belts can really help to change up your look.  I can just picture a cool belt buckle showing through while wearing this with an open jacket or coat.

My favorite feature of this gray dress is the sleeve length and style.  I love my sleeves to be a little shorter because it makes it so much easier to get things done, such as washing my hands, etc.  The style is such a timeless, classy one!

And last, but not least, another dress.  This one is less conservative than the last.  I like the contrast hem detail, and the full, skater skirt.  How cute would this be for this winter?  I can see it with red or winter-white accessories.

Pink Sweater and Blue Sweater Skirt

I spent the day shopping with my family in Oxford, North Carolina.  They have a really great Roses Store down there.  It is such a great place to look for rugs, and other home decor items.  I ended up buying a really pretty one that I intend to put in my foyer.

I have a big haul video to come, so stay tuned to my Youtube channel!

The hat I am wearing is another one I purchased from Fallas last year.  The skirt is also from Fallas, but I bought it while I was still in California.

The sweater and plaid scarf are both bought from a thrift store.

Blue and Gold Anchor Sweater

I wore this outfit while traveling through North Carolina last Janurary.  I loved how it turned out!  The hat is one I bought for just a few dollar at Fallas.  The sweater is one I purchased from Ebay.  I just loved the anchors, and nautical look of it!  It is all cotton, which I like, because I can't stand wearing wool sweater.  I fond them to be too uncomfortable to wear
.
The leggings are dreamy!  The are so super soft, and I love the jewel tone of the blue color.  I bought them from Walmart last winter.

If I cam going to be casual, I like to wear things that are at least as cute as this outfit.  It was comfortable, and great to travel in.

Moss Green Top

These photos were taken last fall or winter, because  as you can see, the leaves were already gone from the trees.  That is not the case just yet here in Virginia this year.  Everything is still lush, green and it feels like summer.

It does look like things will be cooling down this weekend, though.  And we will also be getting rain.

I have had this top for years.  The skirt is one I bought from Salvation Army while I was in California.   I added a belt that I bought from Goodwill last year, I believe.

Burgundy Jacket

Vaughan and I got back from Virginia Beach yesterday afternoon.  The weather was amazing the whole time we were there!  It was just like summer, but even better because I think it was less humid than it was when we were last there in July.  It was also less crowded.

I am wondering how much longer the weather is going to be like this.  I had gotten a lot of my fall wardrobe pulled out a week or so ago, but now I am still wearing summer clothing.

These photos are from last fall or winter season.

The jacket I am wearing is one I thrifted, and took in to be smaller for a better fit.
The beige cowboy boots are a pair my mother found for me at Goodwill.  They are so pretty, and I am looking forward to wearing them again this fall!

The rest of the outfit is of course, also thrifted.

Colorful Striped Dress

I bought this dress from a thrift store, but it is made by H & M.  My mules are also thrifted.  For years I never really liked mules, but this past season I have been wearing them more and now I am glad to have them as a part of my wardrobe.

I am looking forward to wearing this pair more now that it is fall again.  In the spring and summer, I typically just wear open-toe shoes.  I love sandals!

Rose Print Silk Jacket

My hat, jackets and boots are all thrifted items.  The jackets is vintage, and silk. I just love the rose print on it, since it's a little unexpected for a blazer.

The leggings are from Walmart.  Last year they had the softest pairs for sale there, and I got them in several colors.  I live in soft leggings in the cold months, how about you?  What is your choice for bottoms in the fall and winter months?

Orange Tie Dye Maxi Dress

This is one of the dresses I bought from Goodwill when they were having a sale.  I think it was just 50 cents.  The necklace is one I bought from Walmart on sale, as well.

Tomorrow is Vaughan's birthday! We will be spending today and tomorrow in Virginia Beach.  That is one of his favorite vacation spots since moving to Virginia.  I like it, too.  I like how you can walk to pretty much everything you need to all within a few miles if you stay at a room on the beach there.

Leather Newsboy Cap

This outfit is one I wore earlier this year, when it was still cold.
The leather newsboy cap is one my mother gave to Vaughan. He decided he did not want it anymore, so I got it!  It's perfect for me, and I love that it will go with so many of my fall and winter looks.

The necklace is one I bought at Lowemart for just one dollar.

The houndstooth jackets is one I bought from Goodwill earlier this year, too.  As is the dress, and shoes.  I love the pearl details on the shoulders of the dress.  It is also very soft, and comfortable.  This is the kind of item I would take on a trip because it can be dressed up or down, and looks so classy.  I look forward to wearing it again once it actually get cold here in Virginia.

The bag was a gift from Vaughan, since he knows I love the croc look.

Blue Gingham Blouse with Red Skirt

I wore this outfit for the 4th of July, when we went on vacation to Virginia Beach.

The skirt and top are both thrifted.  I especially love the skirt since it goes with so many things.  I have already worn it a lot this year.

Since it is still in the 80's, I am not sure hwo to dress these days.  Summer clothes, or fall clothing that is lighter-weight?  What would you do?
