Product Review Roundup 8/8

Sponsored:

This set of lunchboxes is ideal for someone like me who works seven days a week.  They come in a set of seven, so I can use them to pack lunches for a week in advance.

They look like disposable "doggy bag" containers from restaurants, but they are much sturdier - more like Tupperware.  They are microwave oven and dishwasher safe, so they can be used to reheat meals, and washed in the dishwasher.

They are all shaped the same, so they can be stacked inside each other when not in use, with the lids in a stack on top of the stack of trays.

Each tray has three compartments, large enough to hold a total of 620 milliliters (approximately 21 fluid ounces or two thirds of a quart).  The main section is approximately five inches by five and a half inches.  The medium section is approximately three inches by three inches.  The smallest section is approximately two inches by three inches.  The sections are approximately one and a half inches deep.

This particular set comes in black trays with translucent white lids, but other color combinations are available.

Reversible Tulip Flower Lens Hood

This lens cover and kit by Qunqi is a great addition to my camera kit.  I have a growing collection of cameras and camera parts, so I was happy to add this Reversible Tulip Flower Lens Hood for Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras to my kit.  It comes with a center pinch lens cap with a cap leash, and a microfiber cleaning cloth.

This lens hood is compatible with all 49mm lenses, regardless of whether they are Canon, Nikon, or Sony.  "Forty-nine millimeter" refers to the lens thread size. You can verify your camera lens' thread size before ordering by looking for it printed on the lens barrel or underneath your lens cap. This number is always preceded by a "Ø" (diameter) symbol. For example: Ø49 equals 49mm lens thread size.

This hood lets you use a lens cap with your hood still mounted.

Vomelon U4 Bluetooth Speaker

This speaker is one of several with BlueTooth technology which my husband and I have used recently.  This is one of his favorites, because it can supposedly withstand being immersed in water, and because it is so small and e,asy to use.  He didn't even bother to read the instruction booklet which came with it.  He just turned it on and paired it with his smart phone in a matter of moments.

Although my husband usually uses it with his smart phone while playing video games, it comes with a USB/MicroUSB cable to recharge it, as well as a headphone jack, for use with his laptop, which does not have a BlueTooth application.

One thing I like about this speaker which my husband does not, is that it is very light weight, weighing 150 grams, or about five ounces.

One thing my husband likes about it, which I don't, is its color scheme.  It is dark gray, with a textured, olive drab green band of rubbery plastic around it.

This helps hold it in place, upright on desk or table tops, although my husband usually leaves it on its back, even while he's listening to it.  Sometimes, he just leaves it in its cardboard box.  It can still be heard in the cab of our truck when it's packed in its box in the cargo area.

It comes with a black, nylon mesh strap which fits loosely around my husband's wrist, in case he wants to carry it around.

Its sound starts breaking up when it's downstairs and the device it's paired to is upstairs.
