Why am I dressed like spring when it's winter? I live in southern Cali! It doesn't make sense to wear only winter colors and fabrics when the weather gets so warm some days.
I wore this outfit to a dance audition, and throughout the day I received 5 compliments on the leggings! They are one of my favorite southwestern prints I have bought this year. I am mixing some crazy prints here, but it must have worked, because I booked the job! The coral necklace goes well with the colors in the blouse and leggings. It was a purchase from Ebay. I have been wanting some coral pieces for a long time but have no luck finding anything in stores, so I took my search to Ebay with great results. I found several beautiful necklaces at crazy-low prices. Ebay is a great place to look for something you have had no luck finding in stores. Later this same day, I went to the Santa Monica pier and took some photos. You can see the beautiful lights of the Ferris wheel behind me.
This is a favorite of mine and my husband. He purchased this lime green coat by MetroStyle several years ago while we were living in Brownsville, Texas. It is very warm and a color that can't be missed!
This past Monday my husband and I had the pleasure of being a guest on Kato Kaelin's show, Kato Live. I performed and gave a little instruction on belly dancing, and we stayed the entire hour and had a great time! Kato is a great host and comedian, and we felt right at home on set.
Wearing a belly dance costume I designed and created.
My husband and I attended the Vets in Tech event held at Dreamworks studios in Glendale, California December 17th. We decided to both wear Royal Stewart tartan for the night.
This look is all about the southwest theme (which is my favorite trend this year). The blouse is by Lux, the skirt is by Mind Code, and the leather cowboy boots are Red Lodge by Corral West.
After taking my OOTD photo, a man from of of the
businesses in the shopping mall came out and said I was welcome to pose
with his Mercedes race car.
I have wanted one of these cute hats for a long time, and I finally bought one this past year. It is furry, cute, and fun, and I can't take myself too seriously when wearing it. I is actually very warm, too, which is the best part! Today, I wore a soft, over-sized sweater by White Stag that was a gift from my sister. I like pairing red with black and white, especially polka dots. These leggings by Wet Seal, and the red leather booties are by Cougar.
This may have been the first time I ever wore a tie, and I must say, I like it! Here, I am mixing prints using the Robert Talbott tie but it works, and it helps that everything is in the same tones. The burgundy shirt is by Chandler Hill, I have had it for years, and I bought it specifically for a television role I had been cast for.
The brown leather skirt is by Isabel, the plaid jacket is by Charlotte Russe, and the suede heels are by Merona.
Just a pop a of color is all this outfit needed. The winter-white jacket is Express, which I paired with black Bisou Bisou leggings. The patent leather shoes are Bates, and the black leather gloves are vintage Aris. The printed scarf is a dollar store find.
I love the beautiful tones/colors in this outfit. I paid a jacket by The Rag Company with my Cacheknickers, I love the button detailing on them! The brown leather, embossed boots are Donald J. Pliner. I am not nearly into shoes as much as I am clothes, but I really think these boots are beautiful and they are one of my favorite pairs.
My family and I decided to take some Christmas photos over the weekend. I wore a vintage feather wrap over my Fernando Pena gown. The top hat is one I purchased years ago from a costume shop, and added a red ribbon to.
I love how this coat by Rampage looks like a beautiful tapestry or rug, and it is very warm, prefect for the cold weather we have been having in Southern California lately.
I love how fun and crazy this outfit is! I received compliments when I wore it to go shopping, so other people must have liked it, too. This makes me want to try mixing prints more often. The velour print top was a gift from my parents last year, and is by California Concepts. The skirt is a piece I have had for many years, and is by Baani's. The tights are by Merona, and go very well with the burgundy in the skirt. The green fedora is by Forever 21. The wide leather belt is by Express, and the shoes are by Dress Barn.
The colors in this outfit remind me of Christmas. The knit top is by Say What? The jacket is La Belle, shoes by Gianni Bini, and the skirt was a find from Factor 2 U.
For our wedding anniversary, my husband and I had lunch and did some shopping at Charlie Brown Farms, in Littlerock, California. I had heard about the place and it seemed like a fun place to visit. It is also the largest gift shop in the Antelope Valley. One thing I was really looking forward to was the fudge, and it was delicious! They have a ton of things to look at...every soda and sweet treat you could dream of, and all kinds of gifts. We did not even look at everything there, so we plan on making another trip in the future to check out the rest of what they have to offer. The outside of the building is cute and country, so I decided to wear something fun and take a few photos. Here, I am wearing a cowboy hat a bought a few years ago at Walmart. The denim shirt is Ralph Lauren, the red suede vest is by Don't Stop Classics. The Rob Roy plaid skirt is by Love Culture.
I am always shopping and buying new things, so every once in a while I need to get rid of the old to bring in the new. This day, I went to a local flea market. Now I have room for my recent finds!
I love this look, it feels so lady-like! The hat is by Forever 21. The dress is a southwestern print (which I am totally into right now) by Hyponotik, and I found it a one of my favorite stores, Ross. The heels are Issac Mizrahi for Target.
