Tropical Print Shorts

 I bought these tropical print shorts last year from Goodwill.  They were just 50 cents because everything was on sale, as the store was going out of business.  I decided to wear this lace top with the shorts for a slightly "dressed up" version of a tee shirt and shorts.  I added one of the many braided belts I have picked up while thrifting over the years.

The shorts are made from a tee-shirt-like fabric, making them very soft, and comfortable to wear on what was a very hot, and sticky day.  I like that the shorts are also on the longer side, and even though you can't see it, they are high waisted.  I may wear them with a top tucked in, the next time.  I think they would also look cute with a long sleeved, buttoned blouse. 

Today was another super hot day here in Virginia.  As least the humidity was not as bad.  Vaughan and I did a little thrift shopping and I found some cute, vintage clothing items.  Stay tuned for my next haul video on Youtube! 

Tomorrow is my next-to-last dental appointment in Richmond!  I will be getting impressions done for the final crown!  I will be so thrilled once this whole process is over!

Popreal Baby and Toddler Tops and Dresses

For today's post, I am sharing something a little different from my usual posts.  It is going to be all about baby and toddler fashion!  I am be sharing a few of my favorite picks of baby and toddler tops, and dresses from Popreal.  Popreal has so many adorable dress, it was hard to narrow it down to my top three choices.  I just wish they made all of these in big girl versions!

I just can't get over how vibrant and fun this first dress is!  I think a lot of little girls would love the bright, beautiful colors!  It is such a pretty, little dress for spring and summer!
This really is a must for the little girl that is a fan of unicorns.

This next dress is so beautiful, and perfect for a wedding!  How amazing would a little flower girl look in the floral dress?  I love floral appliques, and flowers with a 3D effect like the ones on the bottom of this dress.  This beautiful dress is under $21!

I love how sophisticated this this third dress is.  The colors are more understated and classy if that is the look you are going for. Something about the colors, and pattern also remind me of old-fashioned fabric from centuries ago.  The dress also comes in dark blue.  This is yet another gorgeous baby and toddler dress!

Next up I have my top three picks for tops!

If this top was in my size, I would totally buy it!  I love the lace detail, and the bow with the cameo in the middle!  This is such a lovely little top for spring!
It also comes in navy blue with is also so pretty, especially because of the contrast of the white lace against the blue!

This tiny cloak is another item I wish were in my size!  I just adore this beautiful shade of pink!  It also comes in blue!  This is such a lovely item for cooler weather!

This next top is a pretty take on the plain tee shirt.  The beautiful details on the sleeves makes in pretty, and perfect for spring and summer.  This would be just as cute with shorts as it would with a nice skirt. It also comes in white!

Animal Print Maxi Dress

This dress is a thrift store purchase.  It's made from that slinky knit fabric that never really wrinkles, which I so love for traveling!  This is exactly the kind of thing I would take on a trip.  It is so comfortable, too!

Shein White Angel Wing Dress

The most amazing thing about this dress from Shein are the wings on the shoulder straps!  How cool and unique is that?!  That detail makes this a really good dress option for anyone with short hair or that likes to wear their hair up, especially.  I am wearing a size small, and the fit is perfect.  The fabric is very light and thin, and it doesn't seem to be see-through.  It is a great choice for some of the very hot days we have been having here in Virginia this week!

I like that the dress is simple in the front because then I can change up the look with different belts and necklaces, like the statement one I am wearing.

Blue Disney Cinderella Dress

This dress is by Disney, and it's te Cinderella dress.  I love the floral detail, and the pretty shade of blue.

Today, Vaughan and I did a little painting on our bathroom closet.  There is still lots more to be done but I think we are coming along very nicely on our home renovation this year.  I think we are going to finally be getting lots done. 

Pink Embroidered Skirt

I hope eveyone has a great weekend!

I am probably going to spend mine resting.  We have had a pretty eventful week here, and I think I need to take it easy!

Pink Sweater Skirt with Pearls

This top is one I have had for years, but the skirt is a newer item I bought at Goodwill last year.  I think it was only 50 cents!  Of course, what I love most about this skirt are the pearls, and the pink color!  I really like wearing sweater skirts in the cooler months.  I got a few last year that I wore a lot.

This skirt is a a great one to wear on cooler spring day because of the beautiful, pastel pink color!

Red Feather Hat

I just love this hat that I found from Goodwill! It is such a statement!  The red feathers are so lush and beautiful!  And to think I only paid a couple dollars for it!  

The blue dress is another item I purchased from a thrift store several years ago.  I think this is such a fabulous look, and it was all thrifted! 

I am so happy with how my little area in my yard is coming along.  You can see we have started installing our front fence, and I think it's a lot nicer backdrop than the rope we have had up for several years now.  It's nice to see things are finally coming together!

Shein Red Scarf Print Blouse

You may recognize this Shein print blouse from another recent post, but this version is in red!  I liked the green one so much, I decided it would be nice to have it in another color.  Once again, I went with a size small.  The fit is very comfortable.  The fabric seems to resist wrinkles, and I love how it's light weight enough to be worn on a day like today when the temperature was around 80 degrees.

I love this blouse with my red trousers, but I am also looking forward to wearing it with different skirts, colors, etc.  I think a blouse like this is a very versatile piece.  And as always, the fact that is resists wrinkles make this a great item to take on vacation.

Shein Striped Shorts

Today I am wearing a great summer outfit from Shein.  The striped shorts I am wearing are a size medium, and the fit is perfect.  There is no stretch in the fabric, but they zip up the front and have a tie belt included.  I am always a little nervous about buying pant or shorts online since I am larger in the hip area, so I am so happy these are a great fit!  I love the length of these shorts.  They are not too short, or too long.  They are just right for what I wanted.  I also like the higher waist.  I think these are some of the first high-waist shorts I have owned.   The fabric feels nice and light, and just like linen, even though the description says they are polyester!  That is hard to believe!

The slightly faded look of the color and fabric is pretty, and I think it makes these the perfect summer vacation shorts.

I love the floral appliques on the sleeves on the white blouse I am wearing.  I love that it can be dressed up or down, also.  That makes this a very versatile piece to add to any wardrobe.  The fabric in on the sheerer side, so you need to wear a nude bra underneath.  I am wearing a size small, and I am very happy with the fit.

Shein Abstract Print Blouse

There is something about this print blouse by Shein that I really like.  It is just so different to anything I have already, that is for sure!  The color combination is very pretty, and perfect for summer!  The top comes in several other color and print options, as well!  The background of the blouse I picked reminds me of Thousand Island Dressing!  I thought the peachy shade went great with rose gold jewlry, like my earrings.

Popjulia Blue Handbag

My favorite thing about this vegan leather bag (Product ID:  416039) by Popjulia is the beautiful shade of blue!  I don't think I have another bag in blue, and especially not in this shade.  I really love how it "pops" againt this orange trench jacket!

The color is one that will look good in every season, and the size is great for taking along everything you need.  Not too big, or too small.  It is a size I can see actually taking around with me to shop, go to appointments, etc.

You can carry this bag by the short handles on the top (which are also removable), or you can wear it with the included shoulder strap.  I think I prefer the shoulder strap, myself, but having differet options is always nice.

Little Black Dress

The weekend is almost here!  Do you have any special plans?  No plans for me...I will probably end up working on my house Saturday, and then just taking a day off Sunday.  I have started a new schedule, and I am already liking it.  Being your own boss can mean you end up working every waking moment, so I am trying something new to combat that.

Gold Embroidery

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend!  I spent some of the day with my mother, and we had a nice time, in spite of the weather not being too great yesterday.

Today, we worked on planting more trees in our yard, and putting up a few fence panels along the front of our property.  I am so happy to see them finally going up again!  Our goal is to eventually have our whole property fenced in.  I like having a clean line for what is mine!

This embroidered dress was a thrift store find.  I thought the gold was beautiful, and intricate.  I am such fan of embroidery!   Usually, the more details, the better...as long as I am comfortable.
