Black Sequin Mini Dress

 Happy New Year!

I hope 2018 is a wonderful for one for you, and your family!

I ordered this dress is size large, which is much larger than my usual small in U.S. sizing.  Just pay close attention to the measurements and you should be fine when ordering.   Even with ordering a large, there was no room to spare, this dress fit me like a glove.  The fabric has a little give, so it was still comfortable, and for this club style dress, I think very fitted is a good look, anyway.  The main thing I would change are the adjustable straps...they tended to become twisted.

Royal Blue Evenig Dress

This dress fit me perfectly in a size small.  The dress looks and feels like a quality, expensive dress.  This would be perfect to wear to a wedding, or any other more conservative, formal event.  I got my dress in a beautiful, royal shade of blue.  The fabric skirt is very flowing, and pretty.  I felt like a princess when I wore this dress.  The back has a long zipper, making the dress very easy to take on and off.  The length of the dress was perfect for me with just a pair of 2 inch heels on.

Colorblock Tunic

I am wishing it was warmer weather again!  This week has been so cold, and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.  I am enjoying wearing my winter coats, though!  This is great weather for wearing all the new, pretty coats I have collected over this year.

Orogold Beauty Review

Christmas may be over, but that doesn't mean it's not a good time to check out more great gift ideas.  Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, so I am sharing my short reviews of these Orogold cosmetic products.  These make great gifts for him, or her!

This Orogold Cosmetic Toner comes in one of the brand's white boxes with golden trim.  It weighs approximately 11 ounces, and the box measures approximately 8 7/8 inches tall, by 3 inches wide, by 2 inches deep.  Inside the box are 3.38 fluid ounces of toner in a clear, cyclindrical, spray bottle, with a white, plastic bottom and cap.
As with all of the other Orogold products I have tried, the packaging is very attractive.  The product itself works well for me, too.  This is the current toner I am using.

This Orogold Cosmetic Cleanser comes in one of the brand's white boxes with golden trim.  It weighs approximately 10 ounces, and the box measures approximately 8 7/8 inches tall, by 3 inches wide, by 2 inches deep - indistinguishable from OroGold's box of Toner, except for the gold labeling.  Inside the box are 3.53 ounces of cleanser in a clear, cyclindrical, squirt bottle, with a white, plastic bottom and cap.  It looks cloudy white, like a shampoo or conditioner.
They both seem to dissipate quickly, and to moisturize the skin they're rubbed into.  I am usually not a fan of facial cleansers, but I really liked this one.

This Orogold Cosmetic Body Scrub comes in one of the brand's white boxes with golden trim.  It weighs approximately 15 ounces, and the box measures approximately 3 1/4 inches tall, by 4 inches wide, by 4 inches deep.  Inside the box are 3.53 ounces of grainy white scrub in a clear, spherical jar, with a gold colored cap, which completes the top portion of the sphere.  The jar comes sealed with a circular sheet of tinfoil.  The jar itself is so beautiful, making it perfect to leave in display in my bathroom.
This scrub seems like a moisturizing cream with granulated sugar mixed into it.  It quickly dissipates, leaving a clear, oily shine, and translucent white granules.

Black Chiffon Dress

Happy Wednesday!

For today's look, I am wearing this chiffon dress, and sharing some similar looks in the links, below.
This style is dress is great to have in your wardrobe because it can be worn for so many different occasions, especially the ones with the full lining.  I wore worn similar for a cruise and it was great for formal night.

Red Plaid Corduroy Jacket

I found this beautiful, vintage plaid jacket at Goodwill last month.   With the red plaid, I thought it was perfect to wear during this holiday season.  It is corduroy, which is a fabric I don't own a lot of pieces in.  I have linked some other plaid jacket options below.

The green leggings are something I picked up in the O.C. when I was living in California.  I think the shade of green is just gorgeous.

Royal Stewart Tartan Cardigan

This vintage, Royal Stewart tartan sweater is one that my husband picked out for me several years ago.  I love how unique it is, and how it's so perfect for the over-sized sweater style that is still in fashion, even today.  I tried to find some similar and link them below, but there is not really anthing out there quite like it.  This is why I love thrifting so much!

The leggings are from Walmart, in stock now, I believe.  They are the softest velour-type fabric I have ever felt!  I bought them in navy burgundy, and light pink, as well.

My boots are also another thrift find, I got them just last week from Goodwill.  The little button detail down the side reminds me of the shoes from the 1800's.

Red Slip Nightgown

It's been a week since my tooth extraction, and my face doesn't really hurt anymore.  Also, I think the socket is healing well, too.  I am hoping that I am ready for Christmas dinner.  My diet has been off since the whole ordeal started, so I am looking forward to having normal food again!

I did some shopping yesterday, and today.  I am thinking of doing a few haul videos.  Let me know in the comments if that is something you'd like to see over at my Youtube channel.

Plaid Ruffle Mini Skirt

Happy Monday!
I am still recovering from my tooth extraction.  I hope I will be ready to eat lots of great things for Christmas!  Things are still a little painful, but the swelling has gone down, at least.  It still hurts to even wash my face, though!

Red Plaid Leggings

Happy Weekend!

Things are warming up a little in the coming week here in Virginia, with temperatures in the 50's, or higher!  I am looking forward to it!

Here's another look wearing red plaid, this time it's in leggings!  I am sharing some other options in the links before.

Darkiron Bluetooth Speaker Review

Need a last minute Christmas gift idea?  Check out my review for the Darkiron Bluetooth Speaker!
This outdoor speaker by Darkiron weighs approximately 23 ounces, and comes in a rectangular, cardboard box, which measures, approximately, 7.5 inches long, by 4.25 inches wide, by 3 inches tall.  The speaker itself is approximately the size of a brick.  I find this size to be perfect for most uses, since it's not too small, and not too big.
The speaker comes taped into a white, plastic bag, covered and surrounded by black or dark gray, foam padding, resting on a cardboard compartment which encloses the following accessories:

a business card
a palm-sized instruction manual
a metal D-ring (approximately 1 inch by 2 inches)
a black audio cable (approximately 2 feet long)
a black USB/microUSB cable (approximately 2 feet long)

The first ten pages of the instruction manual, printed in orange and black on white, are in English.  Pages 11 through 19 are in German.  I found it unnecessary to refer to the manual to connect this speaker, via the audio cable, to my laptop and listen to the sound effects while playing a video game.  It was also unnecessary to refer to the manual to connect this speaker to my Samsung J3/16 (Android) smart phone, via Bluetooth technology, and listen to the sound effects while playing a game on the smart phone.

The speaker is ruggedized, for outdoor use, with a rubber loop, at one corner, for dangling it from something by the D-ring while in motion.  It is also designed to stand on any of it four, rubbery, green edges.  Speaker screens fill the surfaces on the front and back of the brick.
On the top edge of the speaker, indicated by the DARKIRON logo on its face, there are the following manual controls, molded into the rubbery edge:

phone
back
play/pause
forward
M (apparently for "Mode")

The backward and forward buttons can be used to increase and decrease the volume.

Near these manual control are three lights.  Apparently, the Bluetooth light is not labeled.  Another light is labeled with a battery icon, and the third is label "MIC," to indicate, apparently, if a microphone is connected.

There are input and output connectors and controls on what the manual refers to as the bottom of the speaker, which is actually the left end of it (to the right as you face the "DARKIRON" logo), as follows:

AUX (for the audio cable)
TF (for TransFlash cards)
microUSB, 5 Volt Direct Current in
USB (Universal Serial Bus) out
On/Off switch

A rubber panel matching the edge of the speaker, labeled "OPEN," fits snugly over the "bottom" of the speaker, and dangles by a strip of rubber when removed.

This seems to be an ideal speaker for the audiofile on the go!

Red Ruffles

I have been taking it easy today, since I am still recovering from having a tooth extracted Wednesday.  It's been a rough week!  I am looking forward to having a nice, relaxing period before Christmas arrives.  Hopefully nothing will come up.

I still need to put up a tree!  It's amazing how the time gets away from us!

Red Plaid Dress

Another snow day shot.  I am recovering after having a tooth removed yesterday.  Then, today we had to go to court for the trespassing neighbor again.  It's been a rough two days!

Vaughan and I treated ourselves to lunch out, and shopping after court.

How was your day?

Red Plaid and Denim

I took the opportunity to take a few photos in the snow last week.  It was very pretty, but I hope this is the last for the year!

Plaid Mini Skirt

Today was my first day out since all the snow over the weekend.  Unfortunately the reason I was going out was for an emergency trip to the dentist.

I did pick up a few cool things when I went shopping after my appointment.  I like to treat myself after a dentist visit, how about you?
