This dress from Roses was originally a lot larger. I basically just cut it down and used the fabric to make a whole, new dress that fit me. Once again, I'm so glad I learned to sew!
I wore this outfit to a special screening of "Thank You For Your Service", a documentary film about mental health and the lack of behavioral health services in the U.S. military. Those in attendance at the event, which was held at Richmond's Byrd Theatre, included Lieutenant Governor Ralph S. Northam, and Virginia's First Lady, Dorothy McAuliffe.
