These leggings are a fun change from my basic black. I basically live in leggings during the fall and winter. There's no other pant more comfortable, in my opinion. My military-style jacket is another favorite. I've been a fan of the style for as long as I can remember.

Today I'm sharing a holiday party style guide by The Black Tux. I've included some of my favorite outfits of the past year to go along.
My first look is casual. I added a little glamour and interest with a matching, pink statement necklace. The boots were a must since it's been raining cats and dogs in Virginia lately!
My second look is professional. If you prefer, you can keep the dress length a little longer for a more conservative look. I love the flower detail on the front if this LBD. The flower, along with a beautiful necklace like the one I'm wearing is all you need to look fabulous.
My third look is formal. I decided to go with color, instead of classic black for this look. Instead of opting for black or silver for NYE, why not add a little color to the winter season? I added a fun, little wrap to keep away the chill.
My top holiday style tip: Wear comfortable shoes! If you bought a new pair of heels you're just dying to wear, don't pick the night of a special event to break them in. Wear the around the house for a few hours to get used to them so you'll know where they hurt, etc. and can plan accordingly.
If you don't have something to wear, you can always consider renting! Check companies like The Black Tux, who have amazing tuxedo rentals. I've posted a few photos of their fabulous options below.

This cute, plaid skirt is actually a children's item, but it fits me. I like not limiting myself to any certain age group, size, or even sex when I'm choosing what to wear. Think outside the box, and have fun with fashion!

I bought this cape last year while still living in California. It was too warm to wear it then, so I was happy to finally wear this outfit while I was in Arlington, Virginia last week. It was very cold! It looks like we're going to have a very warm Christmas here in Virginia, though!

I felt very retro and lady-like in this outfit. It's also kind of "springy", which was nice since this was a warmer day in Virginia. My Poof! Apparel sweater is a little hard to fit over anything else with it three-quarter bell sleeves, so I decided to wear it alone and it worked out well.

I am wearing my hair natural, and going for a boho look in today's outfit. I've been wearing my black cowboy boots a lot lately. I think everyone should a pair! Mine are comfortable, rugged, and go with a lot of different outfits.

You can really see my grey hair in these photos! I have been going prematurely grey since I was 14. With moving and everything that's been going on the past quarter, I have not bothered to dye my hair. I'm thinking maybe it's time to embrace the look?
I love the bold, bright colors in this outfit. I'm already looking forward to summer when I can wear all of my brights again!

I think the print of this American Rag top is just perfect for fall! It looks a lot like the leaves. The day I wore this was a perfect, warm day!

This Ultra Flirt dress is very comfortable and form-fitting. I wore this outfit on a mild day, so this simple plaid bomber jacket was enough to keep me warm. The weather has been fabulous the past few days here in Virginia!
