The morning we left Abilene, Vaughan and I made it only about 60 miles out west before out truck broke down. It was very lucky that I had cell phone reception so we were able to call for a tow truck. The nearest truck was about 30 miles away, but they arrived pretty fast. There was one motel in town, the Post Rock Motel, named after the rock posts that are commonly used the the area. We ended up staying for over two weeks while or truck was repaired.
