You can't tell, but I am wearing this dress backwards. The front has a deep V-neck that reaches to an umpire waist. I have another dress very similar to this one, and I have also worn that one backwards. For some reason, when worn with the V in the front, it just looks a little too casual to me. I think perhaps because with the bold print, it already has enough going on, and the V also gives it a more casual, beachy, swimsuit cover-up feel. This is a great example to think outside the box, and not be afraid to mix things up and wear them in other ways than they were originally intended.
Here's a shot by Johnanthony Photography. You may not be able to tell, but I am laying on a motorcycle. I decided to go for the biker look, with studs, and mostly black. You can't see it here, but the top I am wearing has a steer skull and southwest designs on it, which I love!
Sometimes it's fun to wear and sweater dress and not have to worry about bringing along a jacket when you go out. This dress by It's Our Time is a super bright, fun green. I paired it with a pink and green braided belt and found at one of my favorite shops in the L.A. fashion district.
The sandals I am wearing are by Naturalizer and are a recent purchase from Ross. Ross is one of my favorite places to shop for shoes, and Nauralizer is one of my favorite brands. Their shoes are so comfortable! I have at least two others pairs that are Naturalizer. These sandals are a great color, so they go with most anything, and of course, they are very comfortable!
