The print of this American Rag top reminds me of fall leaves, so I thought it would be a great part of my Thanksgiving Day outfit. I paired it with a beautiful skirt by Barami, which reminds me of a doily. The shoes look like the ones worn by pilgrims, and were made by Calico.
The weaher has taken a chilly turn in Southern California, so out comes my winter wear.
This over-sized sweater/jacket is a Goodwill find that my husband picked out for me because of his love for plaid. It was made by I.B. Diffusion, a company that unfortunately went out of business in the early 1990's.
I am usually a girl that is all about the close fit, but sometimes it is nice to wear something on the baggy side. To pull it off, it is all about pairing it will fitted pieces, like the black velour leggings by Connection 18. I wore these a lot last winter, and I know they are going to be a go-to this time around as well. The black leather boots by Samase were a gift from my mother. They are flat heeled so they are super comfortable and great to wear over leggings. The red sweater is by Pretty Good, and the hat does not have a tag but was a Disabled Veteran's thrift store find for just 99 cents.
This tiny bottle of Dr. Shine hair polisher is perfect for carrying in a purse or makeup bag. It is only 0.5 ounces, but for oil, that goes a long way. The scent is very sweet, like candy, which is fine for me.
I first started using oil on my hair a year or so ago, and I do not use it often because it does tend to make my hair feel dirty a lot faster.
I was not able to find out much about this sunscreen online. I purchased it for $1.00 and a discount store. It states it is UVA/UVB protection Broad Spectrum, and hypo-allergenic. It was very light and non-greasy, which I love. It also has a nice scent.
Once again, I am loving my fedoras from Forever 21! When I pair them with a knee-length skirt or dress, and jacket, I feel like it gives my outfits a 1940's feel. I am really liking this look, and it feels very ladylike.
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara claims to have a millionizer brush that is "bigger than ever". I found this chunky container a little odd to hold, but I am getting used to it. It also takes up more space in my purse or makeup bag.
I can't say my eyelashes look that much different than with other mascaras, but I do think it applies with less clumping.
I really love the hold of this Suave Max Hold hair spray. I also like that is is non-aerosol, which to me seems like it would be better for your health. One think I find odd is that is claims to be unscented, but it has fragrance. I like it, but for some sensitive people, I suppose that could be an issue.
I am not a huge hair spray person, but this is one of the better of the few I have tried.
It's not everyday you see a plaid motorcycle jacket, so I was very happy to find this one by Heritage 1981 (which was renamed 21Men and is a brand by Forever 21). It seems like I have a ton of clothing items by Forever 21, they are one of my favorite brands. The jacket is the central piece to what I think it a perfect fall outfit.
The fedora I am wearing is also by Forever 21, and I have one in green and camel, too. I am really loving these fedoras this fall!
The silver coin necklace is a piece I made myself from "doubloons" I purchased from a gift shop on South Padre Island in Texas.
The gray dress is by Derek Heart, and the boots are by Branchini.
Vaseline total moisture cocoa glow lotion moisturizes well, but the cocoa butter scent is not what I am used to. I have long been a fan of Vaseline. When my hands used to get really dry and painful it was one of the few lotions that really seemed to work and help with healing.
The bottle is cute and easily fits in a purse or makeup bag at only 100 milliliters.
This shirt by Miss Popular is just too cute. Underneath, I wore a sports bra by Bestform. I paired it with some cute skull sneakers by Airwalk, and a cool bag by Demonia. The bag looks like it was made from an inner tube, and it smells like a tire, but it is so unique, I have never had a bag like it before. The black leggings are by Charlotte Russe.
I found this adorable lip gloss by Amuse Cosmetics at a Factory 2 U. It is shaped like a bust with skirt. This gloss is a beautiful shade of pink, and it has a sweet scent. The gloss is smooth and not too sticky or tacky, which is great.
I loved my last project so much, I decided to make over another chair to look like one I made over last month. I just started with the same process...I removed the seat from the frame and replaced to old fabric with new, leaving the padding. I then spray painted the chair with Valspar gold and once it was dry I re-attached the seat. I love the pink/gold color combination, it's so girly luxe!
Living in Southern California, fall arrives later than in a lot of states, so it was fun to finally have a cooler day to wear the sweater dress by Hot & Delicious I bought this past summer. I paired the dress with camel boots by Worthington, a 1920's hat from the 99 Cent Only store, and a vintage bag.
Modeling at the Bridal and Quinceanera Expo in Culver City, California. I just loved the opportunity to wear these beautiful gowns! Fashion shows are one of the things I like most about modeling, they are so much fun!
